PRADAN's Guide to Establishing a Bio Resource Centre (BRC)

About the Solution

This solution by Professional Assistance for Development Action (PRADAN) is a framework that elucidates the necessary steps that needs to be taken to establish a Bio Resource Centre (BRC). This guide aims at setting up these BRCs to advance regenerative agriculture and promulgate of natural farming practices.

Community owned Bio Resource Centers can aid in generating demand, procurement of raw materials, production of bio-inputs, and provide after-sales service that cater to a specific geographical landscape.

Since 1987 PRADAN began working with the government and over the years we have played a major role in informing and execution roles in large public welfare and development programs.  Recognizing the complexity of social problems like climate change, poverty and gender inequality, PRADAN has adopted a system change approach. PRADAN emphasizes the importance of partnering with the government at the national, state and districts to maximize impact in communities by closely supporting implementation of flagship programs.
