Soil Rejuvenation by the SOUL Society for Organic Farming

About the Solution

Conventional farming practices and the excessive use of chemical fertilizers have deprived the soil of its essential nutrients and its ability to support plant growth. The SOUL Society for Organic Farming aim to address this issues through the Tarachand Belji Natural Farming Technique (TCBT).  It addresses the long-term damage caused by excessive use of chemical fertilizers, which has led to nutrient depletion, reduced soil organic matter, and declining productivity.

The approach integrates natural farming inputs, spiritual practices, and indigenous knowledge to restore soil fertility and strengthen ecological balance. Farmers are trained in preparing and applying bio-inputs such as Urja Jal (Energy Water), Jeevanu Jal (Microbial Water), vermicompost solutions, and cow-based fertilizers. Alongside these practices, rituals like Agnihotra and prayer are incorporated to enhance positive energy and farmer well-being. This blend of traditional wisdom and modern sustainability makes TCBT a practical pathway for reversing soil degradation, reducing costs, and producing healthier food.

The SOUL Society for Organic Farming works to promote sustainable, natural, and regenerative farming practices rooted in traditional Indian knowledge systems. Its programs focus on farmer training, community engagement, and dissemination of TCBT formulas for soil health, crop productivity, and ecological resilience. By combining ancient practices with modern extension methods, SOUL helps farmers reduce dependence on chemical inputs, cut costs, and transition toward eco-friendly agriculture that sustains both livelihoods and the environment.

Short Description

Audience: Trainers and Farmers

Objectives:

  1. Enhancing Soil Organic Matter (SOM) content and fostering a diverse microbial community to achieve better soil structure, fertility, and water-holding capacity.
  2. Improve quality yield without compromising the needs of the future generations.
  3. Reducing production costs by minimizing the need for expensive synthetic inputs and replacing those with cost-effective raw materials for natural farming like milk and urine from Desi cows.
