About the Solution
This solution by the Watershed Support Services and Activities Network (WASSAN) aims at transitioning into sustainable water use and crop management for climate resilience in rainfed areas and drylands. Having been developed over the last 18 years, this 7-step model has seen success in several districts in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. A real life testament to the how this model helped Sivaramappa and Malikarujana, two farmers from Anantapuram, Andhra Pradesh can be found here.
Located in Hyderabad, WASSAN is a network-based organization focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at the state and national levels mainly related to rainfed areas.
