Himalay Unnati Mission's Natural Farming with Behavioral Development
About the Solution
This solution by the Himalay Unnati Mission (HUM) is a model developed to promote organic farming and natural farming practices. Natural farming has proven to aid in the promotion of biodiversity, plays a big factor in contributing to building resilient ecosystems that can withstand climatic changes, improves soil health, and largely reduces reliance on synthetic inputs, making it an inexpensive method for small-scale farmers.
As of now, the Himalay Unnati Mission (HUM) along with the Government of Uttarakhand has trained 5000 farmers in the districts of Nainital and Rudraprayag in this Natural Farming model
